Great timing--esp. as his birthday was on Friday! Looking forward to reading more of your thoughts. I bought my own copy before moving to South America and am hoping to get to it soon...

Dewey is also one of my favorites. His writing about art and aesthetics are wonderful; I also really enjoy his books about education issues.

Talking about aesthetics nearly 80 years before anyone else in modern times. I bet Dewey is happy he never lived tosee the computer age, however, he could have done so much for uasbility research and Cognitive Science and IT.

Dewey is a classic thinker. His writings on Art and Aesthetics inlfuence me to this day. As a usability consultant, I like to envoke his work into my practice. What good is form with out function?
