I think we agree. I would do think that we need to expand the places where literature can be taken seriously; where criticism in this sense can bloom. It is too bad academia abandoned this, but those are the facts.

I do think there is still a place for a more commericial tone as well; books as an entertainment choice.

I think we agree. I agree that we need to expand the places where literature can be taken seriously; where criticism in this sense can bloom. It is too bad academia abandoned this, but those are the facts.

I also think there is still a place for a more commercial tone as well; books as an entertainment choice. We should be able to balance both and I agree that blogs can and should be a tool to promote criticism in a world perhaps too full of entertainment choices.
